Every year at Big Wow (Supercon) they do an auction where one artist provides
the pencils, and several other artists try their hand at inking it, usually over blue lines.
This year, Big Wow attendee, Jim Lee, whipped up a fantastic Batman pin-up and I
inked it, something I almost never do. (ink other artists that is) This piece will be
available for auction during the show, check the show site for more info and I hope to
see lots of you there.
(ps. the auction goes to helping Big Wow with it's expenses, I don't make a dime)

You rocked that one my friend! Fantastic ink job. Would be cool to compare Jim's pencils beside it. Great work bro.

This is definitely my favorite of all the inked pieces. Fantastic, Travis!
ReplyDeleteLove this piece. Interested in sharing time it took and equipment used?
ReplyDeleteHi Travis. I'm a longtime WS fan and came out from CT to finally meet you at Big Wow. Are you not attending? I did not see you at your table yesterday or this morning.
ReplyDeleteJim Lee never looked so good! And I love Jim Lee!
ReplyDeleteGreat drawing and inking!
ReplyDeleteJust amazing ! thank you for our eyes !
ReplyDeletebest combination of artists I could possibly dream of. I love Jim Lee but I agree with Fuzzbug that Jim Lee has never looked so good. Shame you guys will never collaborate again as it would sell an amazing amount of copies.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Jim Lee fan but I agree that this looks better then most Jim Lee pieces and I imagine primarily because of the inks.
