20 YEARS LATER...

Not like you'd know it by looking at my "expansive" bibliography but I've now
been exclusively employed as an artist for 20 years, this is the first "paid" page I ever drew.

  1. Cool. Thanks for sharing. I am always interested in seeing the first piece a creative person actually gets "paid" to do. And congrats for 20 employed years in the business :)

  3. Two cliches come to mind regarding your "expansive" bibliography, sir: It ain't the years, it's the mileage and it's quality over quantity. The quantity may be smaller than some professionals, but the quality of the work will keep it in people's minds for many, many years. I have yet to get tired of looking at your work which I've been enjoying since I came across it in the early '90's. Cheers, Mr. Charest! Here's to 20 more years!

  4. Huh. So, they commissioned those Showcase stories a year in advance?

  5. 20 years.. thats deep. i can still remember picking up those early issues of Darkstars and following your work from Batman and the Outsiders covers straight through to Wildcats. Love the overhead perspective shot (never an easy thing to draw).
Heres to another 20+ year Travis.
    Peace and Blessings

  7. Your style evolved a WHOLE lot since this lol. You went from a (no offense) nondescript, plain Jane, by-the-numbers comic book style, to an incredibly distinct, instantly recognizable drool worthy style lol.
